Wildlife Viewing Areas

The vast amounts of protected greenspaces and wildlife habitats provide our residents with great wildlife viewing areas. The free flowing creeks and Hidden Pond are habitats for many types of fish, waterfowl, deer, coyote, bobcats & wild turkeys. Woodlands Edge invites residents to find a quiet spot in the protected forest and observe our “wild” neighbors.

Woodlands Edge continues to plant nearly 1,500 trees each year to ensure a healthy forest for generations to come and to create secluded wildlife viewing areas.

Woodlands Edge has also partnered with these wildlife & conservation organization to reestablish native habitats in the neighborhood.

  • Arkansas Game and Fish Commission – Stocking of Hidden Pond
  • Nature Conservancy – Prescribed Burn and Replanting of Wildflower Meadow
  • National Arbor Day Foundation - Building with Trees
  • Native American Seed - providing seed for wildlife
